The whiteness of the strawberry blossoms is stained by the blood of the surprised prey. Rudolf Aksamit and Václav Kala bend over the roe deer, the animal's body under their fingers, still warm, still beautifully tense. But now the gamekeeper comes out of the bushes and shouts, "Stop!"
This is old business. The joy of poaching suddenly stops in the veins and with a sudden overpressure it springs up in the lava of red rage.
The fire of revenge has already broken out, the rifle has fired ... There is no going back.
The forest closes up, it becomes both a refuge and a prison, a limited space for escape from justice. And from oneself.
A production based on Josef Čapek's ballad short story about crime and punishment, which have always stood side by side in lives of humans.
About the theatre:
The Lampion Theatre is the only professional theatre in the Central Bohemian Region that focuses on work for children and the young. Our productions are intended for various age categories, starting with the youngest ones theatre can be performed for. The main part of the repertoire is intended for children of preschool and younger school age, but it also tries to gradually target the second grade of primary schools and, last but not least, the whole family. On weekdays, Lampion offers mostly performances for school audiences, on weekends then for the public.
