Today, the jungle resonates differently than at other times of the year. The Age of new sounds is coming. And who likes this time best? Mowgli, of course. Today, however, everyone is up on their feet, because Mowgli has disappeared. What if he's got lost? What if he was kidnapped by the monkeys or the Striped-ones? What if he left the jungle to never return? The creatures of the jungle must take the search for Mowgli into their own paws. Together with the wolf pack, Balu the bear, Bagir the panther, Thá the elephant or Kaa the snake, we will set out on a journey through the wilderness. This movement-puppet production for children is based on Rudyard Kipling's iconic The Jungle Book. Sharpen your senses and join us on an adventure filled with the colours, scents and rhythms of the jungle as we search for clues to the missing Mowgli. However, we must be careful, as only feet that walk without noise, eyes that see in the dark and ears that pick up the faintest breath of wind in the den can find their way to the place that is the true HOME.

About the theatre:
The Bratislava Puppet Theatre was founded in March 1957 as the first independent puppet theatre in Slovakia. It has seen over half a century of creative activities and search for its own identity. The basis is an open, flexible and creative dramaturgy, which reflects contemporary issues and social problems on one hand, and returns to its roots on the other - to the earthy and genuine comedy of the old nomadic puppeteers and to the wisdom of fairy tales. During its existence, the theatre has taken part in theatre festivals in more than 30 countries around the world, from where it has brought back a pile of awards. Most recently, in 2021, the Grand Prix for the production of Mowgli and the Award for Collective Acting and Outstanding Acting Teamplay at the Banja Luka Festival (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and the Grand Prix, the Best Director Award, the Best Music Award and the Collective Acting Award for the performance of The Chronoscrats at the PIF Festival in Zagreb (Croatia).
