The world of the Bouquet is a model world – cruel but just. In his collection, Karel Jaromír Erben brought a report from a time when people commonly lived in close proximity to demons and when the dead rose from the graves from time to time. Every deed has a consequence, and every violation of a taboo triggers the inexorable mechanism of justice. A word is an action: it can summon love and destruction, prayer can save and a curse cannot be taken back. In five ballads, five violations of the natural order occur. By combining puppetry techniques, the various wheels of this world are set in motion again.

Ostrava Puppet Theatre is a professional theatre for children and youth from the entire Moravian-Silesian Region. It performs for nursery, primary and secondary school pupils, for families with children and adults alike. It has been offering high-quality artistic and educational programmes for a long time, led by Hana and Tomáš Volkmer. The theatre organizes a summer holiday festival, Pimprléto, and an international puppet theatre festival, Spectaculo Interesse, which takes place every other year.
