And you feel strange, too. And you talk strangely. It even seems like no one understands you at all. People around you look at you so strangely that they themselves look no less strange. Things that were normal yesterday are suddenly crooked, disjointed, maybe even monstrous. Is it possible that it has always been like this, and you just haven't noticed until now? Or did something strange really happen overnight? And how do you get out of it? What can you do about the new situation and who could you share it with? Mother? Father? Sister? After all, you are a pretty weird bug!
We invite you to visit an extraordinary, or perhaps quite ordinary room, where you can ask yourself these questions together with our hero. You just shan’t expect him to answer them. He is pretty weird.
“When Gregor Samsa woke up one morning from restless dreams, he found himself transformed in his bed into a monstrous insect.” One of the most famous opening sentences in world literature opens both Franz Kafka’s legendary novella as well as the Drak Theatre’s production of the same title. But what does it actually mean? Is it just a figment of the imagination of a writer who has been dead for a hundred years anyway? Or is it an event that can happen to each of us? Or even has to?
