A cheerful and touching story about the frog Philemon, who one day starts feeling a strong desire to go home inside his plush chest. And so, he sets out on a journey to his true home. The journey is full of humorous situations, but it is not nearly as rosy and plushy as he would have imagined ... The production sensitively touches upon the topic of adoption and the importance of home, which may not be where we were made but where we are loved.
About the theatre:
The Puppet Theatre Žilina, administered by the Žilina Region, is the oldest professional puppet theatre in Slovakia having celebrated 70 years of its existence in 2020. To this day, it has produced 251 premieres. The theatre has performed on 4 continents, in 34 countries, and has staged over 13,000 performances on both domestic and international stages, which have been seen by nearly 3,000,000 spectators.
