It is an informal gathering based on interaction between puppeteers and audience, improvisation, inspiration and a relaxed atmosphere. The International Puppet Slam is a collaboration between PUPPET SLAM NEW YORK, the International Puppet Festival Shimokitazawa Tokyo, and the Skupa's Pilsen Festival, and takes place in the USA, the Czech Republic, and Japan. During its Pilsen edition, the American puppeteer Deborah Hunt will perform together with Czech and Japanese actors and will also lead an object theatre workshop at Skupa's Pilsen. The evening of stand-up puppetry comedy will be hosted by the Czech-American puppetry duo Vladimír Sosna and Valerie Meiss.
