K inscenaci / Production notes:
Hra byla od počátku koncipována jako materiál pro absolventské představení 4. ročníku KALD DAMU v DISKU. Autor a režisér v jedné osobě vycházel ze situace, že sám do DISKU vstupoval před 10 lety a nyní dostal příležitost druhou, ovšem s kolegy o 10 let mladšími. Cílem bylo vytvořit představení, těžící z „běžného“ života – o touze vybojovat si své místo na světě a touze po lásce. Hlavním hrdinou je mladý Brouček, který přichází do velkého města napsat pravý, velkolepý, hluboký a morálně vyrovnaný televizní seriál. Bohužel, postavy, které vymýšlí a posílá do svých umělých příběhů a situací, se potácí, ztrácejí, padají, ubližují si, bouří se a odmítají dál ve fantaziích svého autora vystupovat. Mladý autor je zoufalý a depresi ze své neschopnosti se snaží léčit v náručích žen. Bohužel ani v tomto směru není příliš úspěšný. Zdrcen se vrací domů v očekávání, že maminku, která se těší, že bude mít slavného syna, svým návratem zabije. Celý svůj příběh vypráví Brouček retrospektivně na zvláštním místě, zvláštnímu člověku – řidiči, který mu zastavil na stopu na dálnici a který na střeše svého trabantu veze kosu. Je to příběh z napínavého období života skoro každého mladého muže, který vzlétne z rodičovského hnízda a srazí se se světem. Na počátku byl záměr použít v inscenaci větší množství loutek, ale postupem zkoušení samy loutky řekly, že v tomto představení se necítí ideálně a velmi kolegiálně uvolnily místo svými vodičům.
The play was conceived from the start as material for the graduating production of 4th year students at KALD DAMU in the DISK theatre. The play’s author and director drew inspiration from the fact that he himself entered the DISK theatre ten years ago, and now he had a second opportunity, but with colleagues ten years younger. The aim was to create a production that draws on “ordinary” life – the desire to make a place in the world for oneself, and the desire for love. The hero is young Brouček, who comes to the big city to write a real, big, deep and morally-balanced television serial. Unfortunately the characters he puts into his artificial stories and situations start to stumble, lose themselves, fall, get hurt, rebel and refuse to continue appearing in their author’s fantasies. Despairing and depressed at his lack of ability, the young author takes refuge in the arms of women. Here, too, he is not terribly successful. Crushed, he returns home, expecting that he will kill his mother by coming back when she had been hoping to have a famous son. Brouček tells his story in retrospect to a strange person in a strange place – a driver who has stopped to pick him up on the motorway, and who carries a scythe on the roof of his Trabant. It is a story from the tense period that almost every young man experiences in his life after leaving the family nest and colliding with the world. To begin with the aim was to use a large number of puppets in the production, but during rehearsals the puppets themselves said they did not feel right in this production and very nobly gave way to their manipulators.
