Dva loutkáři na turné s sebou přivážejí zbraň hromadného veselí: vodí nejslavnější loutku na světě, kterou je Polichinelle, a s nespoutaným nadšením se chystají sehrát představení, jehož výjimečnost je vyhlášená. Avšak – přesně podle plánu – nic nejde podle plánu. Vítejte v bujaré smršti, kterou představuje nová verze příběhu, v němž Polichinelle vystoupí v nejdivočejších eskapádách, ve výbušném rytmu, který vyvolává salvy smíchu u děti i dospělých. Polichinelle se totiž vysmívá všemu. I smrti.
