Adventurers

DEPO 2015

At the end of the 19th century, a large part of the population of Stod went to New Zealand in search of a better life. Visitors of this exhibition in DEPO2015, "the Adventurers" will have to part with what they know and choose what to take on a long journey, they will go by train and by ship, wander in the swamp and through the forest to finally meet with Te Hemer, the great Maori chief, and tattoo their faces and establish a new village. Playful exhibition is designed for children and their parents.

50 seasons of the ALFA Theatre

We have several date options for celebrating "birthday" of our theatre: a) 1951 (founding of Regional Puppet Theatre in Karlovy Vary, b) 1963 (a merger of theatre in Karlovy Vary and cabaret in Pilsen), or c) 1966, when the Children Theatre Alfa in Pilsen was opened. We have decided that the third option is right. On September 8, 2016 it will be 50 years from the premiere of the „Light Blue Peter“ show which was followed by 215 other premieres. We want to celebrate this anniversary by an exhibition of photos from the Alfa Theatre history. Let us invite you to our Hall of Fame. You can also visit the Puppet Museum in Pilsen with a large exhibition of the history of our theatre, including original scenography and puppets.

Puppet Academy

Sladovna/Malthouse, Pisek

Skupa's Pilsen festival invites you on an interesting trip to the Sladovna gallery in Pisek. An extensive exhibition titled „Puppet academy“ represents the entire scenography of three productions of the Alfa Theatre: Kaspar and Skrhola, Birch Beauty and the Magic Porridge Pot. You can also see the Naive Theatre Liberec, DRAK Theatre and the Little Theatre Ceske Budejovice there. The exhibition is accompanied by an interactive puppet making workshop.
